Much like the beloved (or feared, depending on who you ask) administration of Cuddle City, your friendly neighborhood moderators are always approachable with questions, comments, and concerns. All we ask is that you keep your communication civil and friendly, and allow us time to discuss your questions and provide you with a thoughtful, respectful answer.
This inbox is meant for things like general questions about game mechanics, the city of Cadelle, or other questions/comments/concerns that you have as a prospective or current player in Cuddle City! Please keep in mind that this post is unscreened, and all responses are public.
For the sake of convenience and organization, we ask that such inquiries are posted here, on our general inbox post, and that players refrain from contacting moderators in their official capacity via other channels, including but not limited to: moderators' personal journals, plurks, or other social media; the private message function in DW; sending a private plurk to the cuddlecity account; or via comments on in-game character journals. As a friendly reminder, please do not use this page for private matters, such as player behavior, personal concerns, et cetera. For such questions, please use our screened MOD CONTACT POST. |

Just piggybacking
Sorry for piggybacking, it was just something that occurred to me as an alternative option.

For the community engagement portion of our AC, our goal is to foster the opportunity for both existing and new players to interact with a wider range of our cast. In past games, the mod team has noted that without a requirement for an open post of some kind (including starter comments on event logs), it can be difficult for some players to find opportunities to engage with the entire cast.
We know that not everyone shares the same desires when it comes to plot or CR, and so we do not expect every character to post to every event or to make the same types of open posts. Whether you choose to have a character share something on the network, engage in an event, or offer a slice of life starter in an open log post, we simply ask that you provide at least one opportunity for other players to engage with you outside of the inbox or OKCuddle application.
In regards to top level comments on mod-hosted event posts, we have noticed that players have been exceptionally dedicated to providing great starters, in some cases even providing three or four great starters for the same event. While we in no way want to diminish what a wonderful gift this is to your fellow players, we do want to remind our cast that a single open starter perfectly meets the qualifications for a community engagement post.
If time and availability are concerns for any of our players, we would like to remind our cast that the welcome event, typically hosted on the first of each month, is the best possible place for a top level. These welcome events are usually very laid-back, and by being hosted at the beginning of the month, provide the maximum opportunity for tagging back as time allows.
While we appreciate the suggested substitution of tagging out to new CR, we regrettably are unable to implement this suggestion at this time. Due to the large number of characters in game, the mod team is unfortunately unable to monitor each character's existing CR in order to verify whether provided threads are with new or pre-existing CR. In addition, we are hesitant to overcomplicate the AC requirements any more than necessary, and in our experience, substitutions often lead to confusion and/or misinterpretations.
Should extenuating circumstances prevent you from meeting AC requirements, we do offer a hiatus option when necessary, but we also want to remind our cast that they can come to the mod team privately if they'd like to discuss their specific situation. We know that things do come up, and it is not our intention to punish an otherwise wonderful player for something beyond their control.
If there are any further questions, please don't hesitate to let us know!
- xoxo,
The Cuddle City Mods
